first, you have to sign in to change your password. after you have signed in, click on the link that says, 'click here to change your password.' if you can't remember your password click here now.
i paid, but am having trouble signing in, can you help me?
yes. first, try going to the sign in page. if you can get there and it won't let you sign in then the best thing to do is email me and tell me what sort of error you are getting. the most common issue is that you need to use the email and password that is sent to you via email after you have paid. (you can always customize your password after you sign in for the first time). also, make sure that you have your 'cookies' enabled. if you don't know what a cookie is, then don't worry about it, chances are they are enabled. finally, if you never received any confirmation from paypal that your order went through, that's the first place to check. go to paypal.com and look to see if you actually completed the order process. |

i
know it's only 85 cents a month, but why are you charging money to view
your web site when others give it away for free?
the new stuff is still free, but currently the old stuff is not free, you are correct, and I'm not happy with this either to tell you the truth. but, the short of it is - with popularity comes pirating (I guess).
people have taken it upon themselves to republish "the most amazing story", animations, phone phuns, etc. and they don't even steal the file and post it on their site (which I wouldn't care for, but I could live with)... they point directly to my server and bypass my banner ads (which are what kept it free).
I was just notified by my hosting company that I now owe a lot of money for my bandwidth overages.
the banners and pop up advertising rates are really crappy right now and
don't even cover my hosting expenses, but they're close. without them (as
I've outlined above) I start losing a lot of money.
if you notice, I'm only asking 85 cents for 30 days. if you go to
paypal, their fee structure is clearly outlined for the public to see.
after paypal's fees, jaydonaldson.com only sees 51 cents of the whole
transaction. that means I'm only getting a little more than a penny
a day.
am I making money? actually, not really. I'm just covering my hosting costs
the only way I know how and am doing it in a way that should help stop my
bandwith-jacking.

when are you going to do another kegel animation?
2003. year
of the kegel. starting march 4th. |
is
there somewhere i can go to get a Kegel (hat, mug, sound file, desktop
pattern, whatever?
there is a jaydonaldson.com store up and running that carries miscellaneous hats, mugs, mousepads, shirts, etc. new stuff will be added there on a semi-regular basis. if you go there right now and can't find what you're looking for - email me and i'll see if i can help out. as far as screensavers and downloads go -- members will be able to download that sort of stuff in the near future. check the downloads section, if you don't see a link for it, then it isn't there yet.
would you like to trade links?
probably not. that's just an honest answer. i get at least one or two requests like that a week and if you go to my links page it's already swamped with quality high-octane links. i just don't have room anymore. feel free to email me anyways, i'd love to check out your site if you're looking to show it to me. |
i would like to post your animations on my web site, can you send me some files?
the stuff that is on my site is not available for posting on other web sites. if you would like to talk about licensing my material or have a reason to believe that i would be interested in submitting my work to you, please by all means email me and we can discuss the possibilities.
what do you use to make your animations?
flash MX
for the animation and final product, soundedit 16 for the audio, a power
macintosh g3 (computer), 2 monitors (one 17 and one 15 inch), a wacom tablet,
a pevey pvm38 cardioid mic, 2 synths (one roland xp-50 and one roland rd-500),
an alesis microverb4 for signal processing, and a boss bx-600 for 6 channel
stereo mixer. also, i really like the canned audio sound effects that the
hollywood edge produce. |
i have an idea for an animation, would you like to hear it?
sure. but understand that i may not be interested in using it and even if i do like your idea i will not offer you any sort of monetary compensation for it. in fact, the only thing you may get is a mention in the credits. but that's it. and if i already have a similar idea in the works or jotted down somewhere then you wouldn't even get a mention in the credits. now if that doesn't deter you, then by all means email me and let me hear your idea.
would you like to do an animation project together some time?
probably not. it's not you - it's me. i just don't have the time. but you never know, so feel free to email me and introduce yourself. |
how much would it cost to have you do an animation for me?
one million dollars. no, seriously, one million dollars. if this doesn't put you off, feel free to email me and we'll work out the details.
would you be willing to do an animation project for free if it's a great opportunity and you'll get lots of exposure and God himself will come down from a mountain top and touch your fanny?
no. |
are you ever going to do another 'chem lab chronicle' episode?
yes.
is kegel a dog or what?
yes, he is a dog. in fact, he is a great dane -- he was the runt of the litter (so kegel is told). |
what is kegel's friend's name (the big brown dog)?
argus.
is kegel's friend a big brown dog or is he a bear?
his name is argus and he is a great dane (like kegel). argus is the opposite of the runt of the litter. |
